The studio

We do not decorate rooms. We resolve them.

Aurelia began with a single conviction: that a home should be drawn before it is dressed. Most of what we change is structural - the way light enters, where a wall wants to fall, the proportion of a doorway you will pass through ten thousand times.

A good interior is mostly invisible. You feel it before you can name it.

We work between a Marylebone studio and a workshop in the Cotswolds, which is why our projects move easily between a townhouse and a barn conversion. Architecture, joinery and delivery sit under one roof, so the drawing you approve is the drawing that gets built.

The method

Six movements, from the first measure to the last cushion.

Every commission runs the same considered arc. It is slow on purpose - the time we spend drawing is the time you save living with a mistake.

01

Survey · we listen

We measure the building and the way you live in it. Light studies, a structural read, and a long conversation about the life the rooms are meant to hold.

02

Concept · we draw

A single, committed direction - plans, a material palette and hand-built visuals. Not three half-options. One scheme we believe in, argued and refined with you.

03

Architecture · we resolve

Walls, openings, levels and services drawn to the millimetre. The unglamorous detail that decides whether a finished room feels effortless or merely expensive.

04

Joinery · we make

Cabinetry, panelling and stone fabricated in our own workshop. Bespoke is not a finish we add. It is how the whole room is held together.

05

Build · we deliver

One project lead on site, one weekly report, one point of contact. The programme is honest, the budget is fixed early, and surprises are designed out, not absorbed.

06

Styling · we settle

We dress the finished house - art, textiles, the last warm lamp - then step back. You are left with a home that looks as if it had always been this way.

Selected work

A small body of work, each one drawn from the ground up.

The Long Barn, Kingham

A redundant stone barn reworked into a single, light-flooded living volume. Hand-built oak cabinetry, a monolithic travertine island and a steel-framed wall opening the kitchen to the paddock beyond.

Materials & making

We choose materials that earn their patina.

Travertine, unlacquered bronze, oiled oak, lime plaster, wool. Surfaces that begin beautiful and grow more so. We specify nothing we would not live with for twenty years, and we make as much of it as we can ourselves.

What we take on

Three ways to begin a project with us.

A

Whole-house renovation

The complete commission. We take the building from survey to styling, holding architecture, joinery and delivery under one roof.

  • Structural and spatial redesign
  • Bespoke joinery and stonework
  • Single-team site delivery
B

Interior architecture

For clients already building. We resolve the interior - plans, light, materials and detail - and hand drawings to your contractor.

  • Concept and material direction
  • Construction-grade drawings
  • On-call site review
C

A single room, done properly

A kitchen, a principal suite, a library. The full studio approach brought to one room that has to work harder than the rest.

  • Bespoke cabinetry and stone
  • Lighting and material scheme
  • Supply and final styling

They drew the house we did not know how to ask for, and then they quietly built it.
